How To Make Some Valentine Muffins

It was just a few days ago when people celebrated the New Year and it is just a few more weeks before people, couples in particular celebrate another special day; Valentine’s Day. If you are already thinking of what to do this coming day of hearts for your love one then you may want to try baking some valentine muffins. But first, you need the following:

6 tablespoon of butter
¾ cups of sugar
2 eggs
½ cup of milk
14 strawberries, fresh or just recently defrosted
Food coloring
2 cups of all-purpose flour
¼ tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of baking powder
Hershey’s Kisses, hugs or strawberry jam

Steps in How to Make  Valentine Muffins:

Step 1: Before anything else, pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees. Then in a huge bowl, mix the butter and the sugar. This can be done through the use of a wooden spoon, a potato masher, or a hand-held electric mixer. Next would be mixing the eggs one egg at a time then afterwards, pour the milk. One way of going through this is by cracking the eggs and pouring them in a separate small bowl and beating them there.

Step 2: Rinse the strawberries and then remove the greens using a knife. Once you are done cutting off the greens on the strawberries, mash them using the potato masher or put it in the blender. The next thing that you will do after this is to stir the berries along with the butter and the milk mixture. If you prefer your muffins to have that more pinkish color, you can use red food coloring to add more color to it.

Step 3: On a separate bowl, sift the flour along with the salt and the baking powder and make sure that you stir it well. Keep in mind that the baking powder is fresh and that everything will fit in the bowl that you are using. This is important because this is the one which will make the muffins fluffy. Now once you are done with the flour mixture what you will have to do next is to add it to the berry mixture. Use the wooden spoon when stirring the mixture. You will know that you are done when you no longer see any white. One way of keeping it consistent when it comes to giving it a feel of being crumbly or crunchy, what you can do is mix the batter until everything is moist.

Step 4: Place the muffin tin in a line along with paper liners. Pour a tablespoon of the batter and fill the cups halfway. Now, bake the muffins until they look brown and then insert a toothpick at the center and if it comes out clean then it is already good. Afterwards, remove the muffin from the tin and then let them cool for the meantime.
